Bus Stations

The Central Bus Station is located close to the railway station at a place called Sindhi Camp. The bus station is the prime destination for deluxe bus services from Delhi, Agra and Jaipur itself. Buses from other important regions in these cities regularly pickup and deliver the passengers to the station. The overall service is good and the buses ply at half-hour frequency.

Bus services are available for Jaipur from the neighbouring areas. Delhi-Jaipur national highway is one of the finest roads in India.The RSRTC's (Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation.roadways service to Delhi is excellent, providing air-conditioned Volvo bus services. The bus services from Agra, Ajmer, Alwar, Bharatpur, Bhundi, further connects Jaipur. On National Highway No. 8, Jaipur is connected to all places of the country through good roads. Road distances to some important centres of tourist interest in the region are: Agra 230 km, Alwar 142 km, Bharatpur 176 km, Jhunjhunu 182 km, Jodhpur 332 km, Mandawa 190 km, Nathdwara 355 km, Sariska 111 km, Udaipur 374 km and Delhi 261 km. Many private bus services operate in and around the city.

Jaipur Railway Station

The best way to travel to Jaipur is the rail. Easy accessibility has ensured to secure a priority in the travel by rail. Jaipur is well connected with the rest of the cities through rail lines. It takes less than five hours to travel from Delhi to Jaipur in a train.

The central railway station that is Jaipur railway station is located in the Bani Park region. The Jaipur Railway Station provides for the main entry into the city. Besides Jaipur Railway Station some other railway stations in the city are Dahar Ka Balaji Railway Station near Jhotwara, Bais Godam Railway Station near Civil Lines, Durgapura Railway Station near Durgapura in south Jaipur and Gandhinagar Railway Station in the Gandhi Nagar region.

Many trains run from Delhi and other cities to Jaipur. 'Palace on Wheels' is the important amongst the trains that run through these lands. The train provides for the luxurious travel with the royal touch of Jaipur. Some other trains include Marudhar Express (Varanasi - Jaipur - Delhi), 9770 Express (Jaipur - Purva), Gujarat Mail (Mumbai - Jaipur - Delhi), Shatabdi Express (Delhi - Jaipur - Ajmer), Superfast Express (Delhi - Jaipur), Mandore Express (DElhi - Jaipur - Jodhpur), Intercity Express (Delhi - Jaipur).

Sanganer Airport

India is well-connected with air transportation service. In addition to the international airports in metropolitan cities, India has several domestic airports providing linking flights to domestic and international airports that provides air travel convenience to tourists.

The Jaipur Airport is located 13 kilometres (8 miles) south of the city. Jaipur Airport is grounded at Sanganer region and is also known as Sanganer Airport. The Tonk Road and Jhalana Quarry Road connects the airport region with the rest of the city.

Indian Airlines, the national air carrier, provides flights between Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai and Aurangabad. Jet Airways and Sahara Airlines are private air carriers. Jaipur Airport has a single terminal operating domestic flight arrivals and departures. The terminal has several pantries serving refreshments for the travellers. Other facilities at the airport include luggage trolleys, on-call medical facilities, wheelchairs and other assistance for the physically challenged travellers, and a shopping centre for purchasing knick-knacks. The flights connect Jaipur with Delhi, Kota, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Aurangabad, Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

Commutation
Taxis and autos are the most convenient means of commutation.
