Lachchedar Parathey Recipe

Ingredients:

2 cups whole wheat flour (aata) sieved
Ghee
2 cups refined flour (maida) sieved
Salt to taste
Mustard oil


Preparation:

  • Mix both flours. Add 4 tbsps warm ghee and salt.
  • Knead very well till the dough is very pliable.
  • Make lemon size balls.
  • Turn each ball into a long roll 1 cm thick and shape this roll so that a coiled circle is obtained.
  • Apply ghee inside as you coil the roll.
  • Roll out each coiled circle into a 12 cms.
  • disc and fry on a hot griddle, applying ghee on both sides.
  • Serve hot with any vegetable or meat curry.
